The Raytown Fire Protection District will be accepting firefighter applications through 
9-6-2013.

The fire district is expecting one open position to be filled by 10-10-2013. 

Applications may be picked up and turned in at fire headquarters, 6020 Raytown Trafficway, Raytown, Mo. 64133. 

The fire district may use these applications to establish a list of qualified individuals or initiate a hiring process at the direction of the Fire Board. 

Complete application will include: 
1. Fire Service Entrance Exam (IPMA test B-5) with a score of 70% or higher 
2. A copy of the applicant’s valid driver’s license 
3. A copy of the applicant’s International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) certification as Firefighter 1 and 2 
4. A copy of the applicant’s current Missouri license as EMT or EMTP 
5. A certification of a completed CPAT with a completion date of 10-31-2012 or later. Applicants with an expired CPAT certificate will be accepted however any job offer will be contingent upon receiving CPAT certification by 12-31-2013. 

The fire district is not responsible for costs associated with CPAT certification. CPAT information is available at either Johnson County Community College or Blue River Training Academy Web sites.

Successful applicants will be notified of an interview process for evaluation and recommendation to the Fire Chief. The fire district reserves the right to amend this notification at any time. 

A hiring process may be directed at any time at the discretion of the fire board.

Gas line rupture 63 & Evanston

Contractors have hit a 4" gas main at 63 & Evanston.  Missouri Gas Energy is on the scene working to repair the main.
