The Raytown Fire Protection District and the Jackson County Water District #2  has implemented EMERGENCY WATER RESTRICTIONS for Raytown customers of the Jackson County Water District #2. The restrictions were put in place at the recommendations of the Water District in response to the decreased supply pressure which Kansas City in currently able to provide.
These restrictions take place immediately, from this day forward until further notice.  The following activities are prohibited:

(1) The washing of motor vehicles
(2) The cleaning or washing of the outside of buildings or other structures by the use of water or steam.
(3) The bleeding of supply lines for any purpose.
(4) The filling of swimming pools, portable and otherwise.

The Fire District is trusting that all residents will voluntarily comply with these temporary regulations in order to maintain adequate water pressure for fire fighting.
