Sunday morning structure fire damages Raytown home.

Raytown Fire was dispatched to a reported residential structure fire on Sunday morning. The caller stated that he returned home and found his couch on fire when he opened the door to the residence. No one else was home at the time of the fire. Engine 1 arrived on scene, deployed an attack line and achieved a rapid knockdown. Fire damage was limited to the room of origin with smoke damage throughout the structure. The caller had minor smoke inhalation and refused treatment or transport. Investigators believe smoking materials may have caused the fire.
